10/13/09: National Fallen Firefighters/NFLPA Memorial Golf Tourney
On October 13, 2009, firefighters from across the metro area converged on Lakewood Country Club in New Orleans to participate in a fundraiser for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and NFL Players Association Charities. The 2nd Annual event included 18 holes of golf, a barbeque style lunch, and guest speakers including NFL players and the Louisiana Lieutenant Governor Mitch Landrieu. Event organizers plan to make this a yearly gathering.
