Around 7:32pm Kenner firefighters were dispatched to Williams and Jefferson Highway for a reported building fire. When they arrived, they found smoke issuing from a one story strip mall. A second Alarm was sounded around 8pm bringing units from the JPFD and the TDVFD to the scene. The blaze was placed under control shortly after 8:30pm.
